After further discussion with local County authorities, it was suggested that in order to maintain our mandated social distancing requirements, the CWC close all public areas including Bikini Island, Firecracker Park, Redneck Point and the CWC Pier.
WE will be revising our previous closure of the lake and will keep the lake open with the following requirements:
No congregation of any vessels on the water.
No more than 10 or more people on one vessel.
No social gatherings of 10 or more people on any lake property.
Basically, please do not congregate in any one given area. The attached photo was submitted to the County Judge and as such, the Judges suggested “close the island until this current crisis passes”.
As Shareholders, PLEASE help us in maintaining compliance with the Federal, State and County guidelines.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS AN ONGOING SITUATION AND THE LAKE MAY CLOSE AT THE DIRECTION OF THE STATE OR LOCAL AUTHORITIES AT ANY TIME.
In addition the SP boat ramp will be closed to allow a patrol officer to resume on-water patrol.
Thank you for your patience as this is bringing many new challenges to Lake Cherokee.
